With beautiful weather, a great turn out and a hard-fought match – this years’ SCPA Stoolball will be hard to beat.
Paisley came back to help us with the umpiring and thanks to Ali and Andy on the BBQ we cooked and served over 120 hotdogs to the hungry parents and children that came across after school.
The final scores were 141 to Southwick (SCPA) and 104 to Shoreham (SCPA) – with the names chosen based on the two sites the school sits on. All comers had a go, including some of our youngest athletes from the junior school.
In a break from the usual routine we also held the annual AGM under a tree while the sun was still shining. We now have a lovely list of willing volunteers and it is looking promising that we will be able to run two events this year – the usual Winter Fayre and hopefully a Summer fundraiser for charity.
This event is organised primarily to get parents together informally and help us to strengthen community bonds for parents old and new to the school. This year, as well as the excellent turnout, we also managed to raise £322.41. We’d like to extend a massive thank you to everyone that came and helped.
