Harvest Festival was celebrated at Shoreham College this week with the Reverend James Grant of St Julian’s church presiding over Harvest Assemblies. He spoke about sharing and asked the pupils to consider that sharing was the greatest gift of all.
Pupils have achieved the best GCSE results in the history of the school.
Elite athletes from Shoreham College competed at the ISA National Athletic Championships and the team returned with a record medal haul! 15 medals in total: 3 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze) and placing an overall 2nd place in the whole competition.
Last term dozens of out-grown football shirts were collected from the parents and pupils at Shoreham College and donated to the Oscar Foundation, a charity that works with over 3,000 children across Mumbai and India.
For two nights in March students of Shoreham College transported their audience away from a cold English hall to the heat and spice of medieval Arabia. With the minimum of staging but just with lighting, music and excellent acting the pupils, aged only 11 to 16, evoked the magic of these classic tales.
